Guess What, Jordan McGaughey? You've Won a Milken Award!

Do you remember a moment when time stood still and your life changed forever? Jordan McGaughey does. When he heard Dr. Jane Foley call his name on October 17, 2017, at Imperial's Seckman High School, he froze, even as students sitting around him in the bleachers stood and cheered. One of the day's most beautiful moments: Jordan's face lighting up when he spotted veteran Milken Educator Dr. Jeffrey Gall (MO '96), one of Jordan's professors from his days at Truman State University. "I didn't know—I really didn't know!" Jeff told Jordan as the thunderous applause continued. Later, Jeff said Jordan was a truly memorable student: "I have a feeling he's one of those teachers you never forget, too."
