Kara Davis Surprised with Arkansas Milken Award

It's a big day at Joe Mathias Elementary School: Johnny Key, commissioner of the Arkansas Department of Education, and Rogers Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Marlin Berry are visiting to help the school celebrate its recent art grant. But the assembly takes an unexpected turn when Commissioner Key introduces Dr. Gary Stark, CEO of the National Institute for Excellence in Teaching, representing the Milken Family Foundation. Watch as Stark and Key surprise fourth-grade teacher Kara Davis with the state's 2016-17 Milken Educator Award, changing the educator's career and life forever.
