Katelyn Baker, Welcome to TN's Milken Educator Family!

It's a special day at Battle Academy: Tennessee Education Commissioner Dr. Candice McQueen is here for a schoolwide assembly to celebrate student learning, along with Dr. Kirk Kelly, Hamilton County Department of Education's interim superintendent. But then McQueen introduces Dr. Jane Foley, senior vice president of the Milken Educator Awards, who has a big surprise for one Battle Academy teacher. Watch as Foley surprises third-grade teacher Katelyn Baker with Tennessee's Milken Educator Award and $25,000, turning an ordinary day into one Baker will remember for the rest of her career.
