Allison Ruhl Wins Milken Award in Mississippi
It’s an all-star celebration at Madison Station Elementary School: Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant, First Lady Deborah Bryant, State Superintendent of Education Dr. Carey M. Wright, and Madison County Schools Superintendent Dr. Ronnie McGehee are on hand. And they've invited a special guest to make a very special announcement: Dr. Jane Foley, senior vice president of the Milken Educator Awards. When Foley presents first-grade teacher Allison Ruhl with the state's 2016-17 Milken Educator Award and a $25,000 check, the outstanding educator gets the surprise of her life.
