RICHMOND, RHODE ISLAND—Hello, Richmond Elementary School! Rhode Island Education Commissioner Angélica Infante-Green is here to lead an assembly focused on students' social and emotional wellness. But there's another reason for her visit, which comes to light when Dr. Jane Foley, senior vice president of the Milken Educator Awards, surprises K-4 reading specialist Paige Leddy with a 2023-24 Milken Award and $25,000. It's an extraordinary day for Richmond teachers and students, as they celebrate this outstanding literacy educator driving schoolwide success.
