BOWLING GREEN, KENTUCKY—Kentucky Lieutenant Governor Jacqueline Coleman and Interim Commissioner of Education Robin Fields Kinney are visiting Jennings Creek Elementary School to talk about Kentucky's United We Learn initiative. But there's more to today's assembly, and it involves a huge surprise for one outstanding teacher! Watch as Dr. Jane Foley, senior vice president of the Milken Educator Awards, presents third grade teacher Shane Baker with an "Oscar of Teaching" and $25,000, making him the first Milken Educator Award recipient in Warren County Public Schools. The day quickly becomes one the teacher and his community will never forget.
