The staff at Brashier Middle College Charter High School in Simpsonville, SC, rarely keep secrets from Principal Mike Sinclair. So he never suspected the reason that SC State Superintendent of Education Dr. Mick Zais was coming to their school was to honor him and, with the help of National Institute for Excellence in Teaching President and CEO Dr. Gary Stark, present him with a Milken Educator Award worth $25,000.
