Teacher Jennifer Olewnik Wins $25,000 Milken Educator Award for “A Lot More than Just a Job”
Reading teacher Jennifer Olewnik was looking around to see which teacher would be announced as the 2013–14 Milken Educator Award winner by Alabama Superintendent of Education Dr. Tommy Bice…when she heard her own name! When she called her dad, he couldn’t believe it either, but her students and colleagues at Grand Bay Middle School in Mobile County have no doubt that Jennifer deserves this honor.
