Media come out in droves to watch Niskayuna teacher Roseann Maurantonio receive the prestigious Milken Educator Award for New York this year, which comes with a cash prize of $25,000 that she can use however she pleases. The Award is presented at a surprise assembly at Rosendale Elementary School, where Roseann teaches fourth grade. New York Education Commissioner John King, Jr., Niskayuna Central School District Interim Superintendent John Yagielski, and Milken Educator Awards Senior Vice President Dr. Jane Foley are just some of the officials joining in this special celebration.
