Aloha, Kalihi Kai Elementary! There's a special assembly today: Hawaii Governor David Ige, First Lady Dawn Amano-Ige and Interim Superintendent of Education Keith Hayashi are here to celebrate the school's arts integration program. But then, a surprise: Superintendent Hayashi introduces Dr. Jane Foley, senior vice president of the Milken Educator Awards, and Governor Ige names academic coach Michelle Iwasaki the winner of Hawaii's Milken Educator Award and $25,000! It's a career-changing moment she will remember forever.
