Claire Smullen, You're a DC Milken Educator

Stuart-Hobson Middle School is celebrating increases in student satisfaction at a schoolwide assembly featuring Washington D.C. Superintendent of Education Hanseul Kang and D.C. Public Schools Chancellor Dr. Lewis D. Ferebee. But then Superintendent Kang hands the microphone to Mike Milken, president and co-founder of the Milken Family Foundation. Watch as Dr. Ferebee names art teacher Claire Smullen the recipient of D.C.'s 2019-20 Milken Educator Award and presents her with $25,000. It's a surprise everyone at Stuart-Hobson will remember forever.
