Special Ed Teacher Therese Shain Joins MO Milken Educators

Why are Missouri Department of Education Commissioner Dr. Margie Vandeven and First Lady Teresa Parson visiting Bayless Elementary today? They're helping the school celebrate its 2018 MAP assessment scores at a festive event. But when Commissioner Vandeven introduces Lowell Milken, chairman and co-founder of the Milken Family Foundation, the assembly realizes there's something else going on. Watch as Milken surprises special education teacher Therese Shain with Missouri's 2018-19 Milken Educator Award and $25,000, making the day one the Bayless community will never forget.
