Maine Commissioner of Education Pender Makin is visiting Gorham High School to remind students that they are the best ambassadors for Maine's excellent public schools. But wait ... is there another reason for her visit? Dr. Jane Foley, senior vice president of the Milken Educator Awards, brings down the house when she surprises technology integrator Adam Parvanta with Maine's 2019-20 Milken Award. It's the same honor Commissioner Makin herself received in 2001.
