Lowell Milken congratulates Masaru Uchino

Lowell Milken, chairman and co-founder of the Milken Family Foundation, congratulates newly minted Milken Educator Masaru Uchino on his 2016-17 Milken Educator Award. "You are truly making a difference on hundreds of young people's lives, " says Milken. With a nod to the "Cinderella" song performed earlier by the school choir, Milken adds: "Fairy tales do come true if you apply yourself and work hard." Uchino is draped with more than a dozen leis, gifts from the many veteran Milken Educators who are on hand for his surprise notification at Momilani Elementary.
