Florida Principal Kevin Williams Is Floored with $25,000 Milken Educator Award
Known for motivating and rewarding his students for excellence, Norwood Elementary School Principal Dr. Kevin Williams was shocked to learn that the all-school assembly in Miami Gardens -- which he organized -- was to celebrate him all along. Before his cheering faculty and students, Kevin was presented with a $25,000 Milken Educator Award, which he can use however he chooses. Florida Commissioner of Education Pam Stewart and Milken Educator Awards Senior Vice President Dr. Jane Foley joined in the celebration, along with community members and veteran Milken Educators. 2001 Florida Milken Educator Mark Tohulka had some wise words for Kevin in welcoming him to the Milken family.-
