Whittier Middle School loves National History Day, and Maine Department of Education Deputy Commissioner Dan Chuhta is visiting to talk about students' projects-in-progress. But there's another reason for Deputy Commissioner Chuhta's visit, which emerges when Stephanie Bishop, vice president of the Milken Educator Awards, presents social studies teacher Jamie Karaffa with a Maine Milken Award and $25,000.
