There's a festive assembly about student competency today at Needham Elementary, with Dr. Colleen O’Neil, associate commissioner of educator talent for the Colorado Department of Education, discussing the qualities of successful graduates. But then, a huge surprise: Lowell Milken, founder of the Milken Educator Awards, presents fifth grade math teacher and hometown hero Tiffany (Tiff) Miera with Colorado's Milken Award and $25,000!
