Fourth grade math teacher Angela Fowler got the surprise of her career when we presented her with the first Milken Award in the Clark-Pleasant Community School Corporation, with the help of Indiana Secretary of Education Dr. Katie Jenner. The $25,000 cash prize is unrestricted, so Angela can use the funds however she chooses. The Grassy Creek Elementary teacher's emotional reaction: "These are my people — I've made a home here."
