"I try to do what's best for the kids, every single day," said first grade teacher Abby Turbak when we surprised her at McKinley Elementary with South Dakota's 2022 Milken Educator Award, the first ever presented in Watertown School District. South Dakota Secretary of Education Tiffany Sanderson joined us for Abby's big day, one her students and colleagues will remember for a long time. When we unfurled the huge $25,000 check bearing Abby's name, the entire assembly cheered and clapped for a long time!
