Special education teacher Caitlin Garvey won "the Oscars of Teaching" at Clyde-Savannah Elementary in upstate New York, as proud students and colleagues, visiting dignitaries and local media looked on. "It's a complete honor to be recognized for something that I do because I love it," she told the assembly that watched her win New York's 2022 Milken Educator Award. "I'm just going to keep doing what I do, but it's very nice to feel like it's seen."
