NJ Teacher Taylor Trost Wins the "Oscars of Teaching" in Hightstown

HIGHTSTOWN, NEW JERSEY—Watch fourth grade teacher Taylor Trost react with utter shock as she learns that the real reason everyone was gathered for today's school assembly at Grace Norton Rogers Elementary in Hightstown, New Jersey, was to present her with a 2023-24 Milken Educator Award. Trost is the first recipient to receive a Milken Award in East Windsor Regional School District, and also takes home an unrestricted $25,000 cash prize. Milken Educator Awards Senior Vice President Dr. Jane Foley was joined by New Jersey Department of Education Assistant Education Commissioner Kathy Ehling to present the huge surprise.
