Bottom row, from left: Jones Intermediate students Freddie Hernandez, Lucy Goins, Jesse Bilyeu, Alania Moore, Carrie Marion and Colin Hiatt hold up cards representing the amount of the Award's cash prize.
During the unveiling of the amount of the cash prize, Foley asked Colin Hiatt if he thought $250 (the amount displayed at that point) would be an adequate reward for the winning teacher. "That would be enough for me," he said, "but it's not enough for our teachers who help prepare us for our futures."
