WOW! I've not ever taken the time to see what awards are available for teachers- or me for that matter. I have won a couple but not because I seeked it out:-) I want to thank you for doing this effort because it does matter what teachers are doing in our country- world.
The school I run is very unique because we are a public school with students coming from 4 counties and 10 school districts. Our students mostly have autism and behavioral issues. God has blessed me with a giving outstanding staff who put kids first. This is not easy job and you are not going to have recognition for being a teachers aide- teacher or administrator here. We generally have around 40 students so doubtful parents will do a recognition either. My point is that I still LOVE what we do here and I could not do this without the awesome dedicated staffs too.
Students and their families come first. That is why we are here. We measure success in different ways and a small success will be celebrated at CEC-North. We know our students work best when you build on what they can do- what they do right and who doesn't work better when they are praised- NOT put down for what you do wrong or don't know.
I'm not sure why I've rambled - LOL I'm just curious about this foundation and I will look at more of it this summer.
THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOUR MISSION IS AND WHAT YOU DO
