March 7, 2025 was a day Shawsville Middle School seventh grade team leader and science department head Anna Drew will never forget! We surprised her with a 2024-25 Virginia Milken Educator Award and $25,000 at a special all-school assembly in her honor. Drew’s commitment to each student's success shines through personalized goal-setting and tailored teaching, ensuring student growth. Beyond the classroom, Drew mentors new teachers, coaches sports, and volunteers with the local Boys and Girls Club, all while building lasting connections with her students that extend far beyond graduation.
