Nicole Castile made such significant gains with her students that she was asked to help improve student achievement in the third grade after teaching the fourth grade. As the school’s STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) leader, her efforts led to a 100 percent passing rate on the Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program (TCAP) in science.
In this photo: Nicole's Milken Educator Award came as a complete surprise, but it's no surprise that so many students wanted to personally thank her at the assembly that was held in her honor.
