CO Math Teacher Felicia Casto Wins Milken Award

 

 

Math teacher Felicia Casto wipes away tears as she listens to the long, raucous standing ovation from appreciative students and staff at her surprise Milken Educator Award notification. Behind Casto is Betsy Bair, regional director for U.S. Senator Cory Gardner. Bair says that her office tried to find out the name of today's recipient ahead of time so they could prepare a special proclamation, but no luck. Not even the senator's top security clearance and role on the Foreign Relations Committee could convince the Milken Family Foundation to share the tightly-held secret.
