Lt Governor Daniel McKee and Jane Foley Congratulate Kendra Borden Milken Award

Rhode Island Lieutenant Governor Daniel J. McKee and Milken Educator Awards Senior Vice President Dr. Jane Foley congratulate Kendra Borden on her $25,000 Milken Educator Award. Borden, who spent 14 years in the insurance business before becoming a teacher, believes that “those doing the talking are doing the learning" and uses innovative techniques like the Socratic seminar, jigsaw and graphic organizers to encourage dialogue among her students.
