Catherine Randall Named Louisiana Milken Educator

 

 

Donna Schultz, principal of Joseph J. Davies Elementary School, opens the assembly. The gymnasium is crowded with students, staff, and guests, including many visiting dignitaries. Davies, a Title I school with 70% of its families living in poverty, carries an A rating and is a National Blue Ribbon School. Destroyed during Hurricane Katrina, Davies Elementary was the first school in Louisiana rebuilt with FEMA funds after the natural disaster.
