The teacher who is about to win the Milken Educator Award also gets a cash prize, with no restrictions on how the money is spent. How much? One digit at a time, students hold up cards representing the amount of the Award. When Kansas Deputy Commissioner of Education Dale Dennis holds up the third zero, the room starts to buzz. That makes $25,000!
