Amanda Robertson Wins North Carolina Milken Award

 

 

Justin Robertson, district technology coordinator for Mount Airy City Schools, runs to the front of the gymnasium to congratulate his wife Amanda Robertson on her surprise Milken Educator Award.

Justin routinely staffs events at district schools but had no idea this one was set up to honor his spouse. Jones Intermediate Principal Sherry Cox and Dr. Kim Morrison, the district superintendent, saw Justin pacing behind the curtains as the assembly unfolded and the suspense mounted. When Amanda's name was called, Justin's head fell into his lap.
