Imagine the double shock that Principal Desi Nesmith experienced when he learned that the assembly he helped orchestrate was actually to honor a new Milken Educator—and that he, in fact, was the recipient!

Good thing he had Bloomfield Public Schools Superintendent Dr. James Thompson there to lean on!

  • The picture tells the story!!!It was amazing to be at this wonderful event and to share in the excitement. In my short time here with the Metacomet family I have seen first hand what amazing things a strong,fair and committed administrator can do for a school. It makes me proud to have been a Bloomfield graduate as well as a Bloomfield teacher.
