Metacomet Elementary Principal Desi Nesmith helps usher his students into the special assembly, just like he greets them each morning as they come to school to make them feel special and appreciated.

What he doesn’t know yet, is that in a few minutes time, the Milken Educator Awards is going to give him some of that same feeling.
