Nebraska Department of Education Commissioner Matthew L. Blomstedt, Nebraska Lieutenant Governor Mike Foley and other dignitaries are on hand to celebrate the school's Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) program with students and staff. But there's another reason for the event, which becomes clear when Milken Family Foundation Senior Program Director Greg Gallagher presents fifth-grade teacher Rebecca Streff with Nebraska's 2018-19 Milken Educator Award and $25,000. It's the surprise of a lifetime for this outstanding educator—and a day she'll remember forever.
