Anchorage's Paul Campbell Wins Alaska Milken Educator Award

Dr. Michael Johnson, Alaska's education commissioner and the state's 2008 Milken Educator, is spending the morning at Anchorage's Chester Valley Elementary to talk about its social and emotional learning program, along with Anchorage School District Superintendent Dr. Deena Paramo and a slew of visiting dignitaries. But there's a surprise for one outstanding educator—and it comes with a check for $25,000! When Dr. Jane Foley, senior vice president of the Milken Educator Awards, names Paul Campbell Alaska's 2016-17 Milken Educator, the first- and second-grade teacher's career is forever changed.
