The teacher who wins the Milken Educator Award will take home a cash prize — but how much? One digit at a time, students hold up cards representing the amount of the Award. When Dr. Michael Johnson, Alaska's commissioner of education and the state's 2008 Milken Educator, brings in the final zero, the crowd explodes with excitement at the total: $25,000!
