Missouri Milken Educators Welcome Leah Lawrence

Why is Missouri Commissioner of Education Margie Vandeven visiting Hardin Middle School today? She's got a very important message for the students, staff and guests gathered in the gym...but it's not the message they were expecting! When Commissioner Vandeven introduces Stephanie Bishop, vice president of the Milken Educator Awards, and Bishop names seventh grade English language arts teacher Leah Lawrence the state's newest Milken Educator Award recipient, the students cheer enthusiastically, making the morning assembly one Lawrence will never forget.
