Anthony Angelini Wins PA 2015-16 Milken Educator Award

 

 

Still reeling from his surprise Milken Educator Award, social studies and English teacher Anthony Angelini talks with Dr. Jane Foley, senior vice president of the Milken Educator Awards, in front of the assembly at New Oxford Middle School. Foley asks Angelini what he wants his students to learn from social studies, and Angelini responds with clarity and vision: "When we study [history], we look at a few remarkable people who have changed the world," he says. "We want our students to feel like they could be those people in our society...that they can make a big difference if they invest their passion and their urgency into it."
