"Teachers impact you for the rest of your life, and I wanted to be part of that," says Vicky Condalary (LA '01, far left), NIET's senior vice president of services and partnerships. NIET collaborates with more than 75 universities, she notes. Graduates are "stronger than ever and job-ready day one" because they have a common language and understanding to tackle their challenges.
Devon Willis-Jones (LA '16, far right) was an elementary principal when she won the Milken Award. Her district partnered with NIET, and the organization's professional development "clusters" helped her move her school from an F to a B rating in one year. Now, as NIET's assistant director for Louisiana, she helps school leaders implement the same strategies.
