Jennie Schmaltz Wins CO Milken Award

 

 

Holding the Milken Educator Award envelope embossed with her name and a much-needed package of Kleenex, Jennie Schmaltz talks with Lowell Milken, chairman and co-founder of the Milken Family Foundation, after her surprise Award notification. Schmaltz serves on Elkhart’s instructional leadership team and as the school’s IB coordinator; she also heads literacy professional development for the district.
