Brian Allman (WV '19) was recently elected President of the West Virginia Council for the Social Studies. The West Virginia Council for the Social Studies is a teacher-administrated organization of professionals seeking to provide first-class educational support and experiences for social studies teachers employed throughout the Mountain State of West Virginia. Key opportunities afforded through WVCSS include in-person and virtual learning experiences, a yearly teacher’s conference, and partnerships with outside organizations such as the WV Department of Education, the Ashbrook Center at Ashland University, the White House Historical Association, and the Goethe-Institut USA.
