There's an assembly about the school's new math program, and the room is teeming with special guests, including New Mexico Secretary of Education Dr. Kurt Steinhaus. But the real reason for the event is revealed when Dr. Jane Foley, senior vice president of the Milken Educator Awards, surprises fourth grade teacher Christopher Nunez with a $25,000 Milken Award.
