English Teacher Shana Davis’s $25,000 Milken Educator Award Day

Shana Davis got the surprise of her teaching career when she  was announced by Governor Dennis Daugaard as the 2013–14 South Dakota Milken Educator with help from Secretary of Education Dr. Melody Schopp. Humbled by the Award, Shana never imagined she was the teacher that Dr. Jane Foley and the Milken Family Foundation traveled to T.F. Riggs in Pierre, SD to honor. “I was thinking who could this be? Who could this be?”
