Shekema Silveri (GA '11)

Shekema Silveri is the center of a group hug as her students share in her excitement in winning a 2011 Milken Educator Award. "It's an honor every day to come in here and change the world,” said Mrs. Silveri. "To see you learning, to see you growing to know that you're going to make a difference in the world that I by myself could not make ... I want to thank each of you for being born so that I could have this day." The students responded by chanting "We MZ love Silveri."
