Ryan Lafferty Is Washington State's 2015-16 Milken Educator Award Recipient

Back in his classroom at International School, physics teacher Ryan Lafferty gets emotional as students express their gratitude for his counsel and leadership. One student said she had to choose between AP Chemistry and AP Physics, and while she knew that she liked chemistry and that it would be easier for her, she chose to take AP Physics so that she could have Mr. Lafferty as a teacher. In addition to his academic duties, Lafferty is a National Honors Society advisor, serves on the school’s middle and high science clubs and travels with students to the state science bowl.
