An emotional Misty Ayres-Miranda gets special congratulations on her Milken Educator Award from Tennessee Education Commissioner Dr. Candice McQueen, left, and NSA Executive Principal Dr. Gregory Stewart. In addition to teaching regular, honors and AP English and serving as English department chair, Ayres-Miranda is a Student Council advisor, leads School Spirit week, serves on the school executive leadership team, and mentors current and new teachers.
