Michelle Ryan addresses Randolph HS

When the students' cheers die down, Michelle Ryan steps to the microphone to address the assembly as Secretary of Education Jim Peyser looks on. Milken Educator Awards Senior Vice President Dr. Jane Foley comments on Michelle Ryan's reported fascination with the human mind and asks her what she wants her students to know about their minds and futures. "I think this moment captures why I am so fascinated with the mind," Ryan says. "Because honestly, my mind cannot comprehend what is going on right now." After a moment, she offers some wise words: "If I had to give you one piece of encouragement about your mind, it's a question: What are you doing with it?"
