Melissa Kovac Joins New Mexico Milken Educators

 

 

Second-grade teacher and Milken Award recipient Melissa Kovac has a Kleenex moment as she and Dr. Jane Foley, senior vice president of the Milken Educator Awards, listen to applause and cheers from the Amy Biehl community. Kovac's positive attitude and infectious optimism make her beloved among students, parents and peers: She serves on the school's leadership and advisory teams, coaches the cheerleading squad, participates in events with the local Audubon Society, and helps organize Walk & Roll To School Day to encourage families to walk, bike and rollerskate to school.
