Lexington district superintendent congrats

Lexington County School District One Superintendent Dr. Karen C. Woodward congratulates a still-shocked Kimberly Freeman on her surprise Milken Educator Award. Freeman, Lexington Middle's Latin teacher and world language department chair, has expanded the school's Latin program both in the classroom and through online classes, which are available to 23,000 students in the district. Her students' scores on the National Latin Exam routinely surpass the national average, and Freeman's Latin academic team won first place at the state's Certamen Competition in 2014.
