Dr. Jane Foley, senior vice president of the Milken Educator Awards, asks Kimberly Freeman, South Carolina's newest Milken Educator, to explain what she means by "all students must learn," a philosophy she is known to embrace. "I strongly believe that these guys in this room are the backbone of democracy. They’re the backbone of our future," she says. "Every single one of them matters — and their learning matters."
