Fifth-grade teacher Eric Crouch holds back tears as he addresses the students, staff and guests at Double Churches Elementary for his surprise Milken Educator Award notification. "I couldn't do this without these people right here," he says, gesturing to the students. "They're the reason why I'm here today." Dr. Jane Foley, senior vice president of the Milken Educator Awards and a 1994 Milken Educator from Indiana, looks on proudly.
