Eric Crouch Wins Georgia Milken Educator Award

Everyone is buzzing today at Double Churches Elementary: Georgia State School Superintendent Richard Woods is visiting to congratulate the school on its recent grant for serving military families, along with Georgia First Lady Sandra Deal and Muscogee County School District Superintendent Dr. David F. Lewis. But there's another reason for the all-school gathering, and it involves a surprise guest, one outstanding teacher, an important national award, and a huge check! When Dr. Jane Foley, senior vice president of the Milken Educator Awards, names fifth-grade teacher Eric Crouch Georgia's 2016-17 Milken Educator, Mr. Crouch's career is forever changed.   • Mr. Crouch is a great teacher and we'll deserving. He has inspired my son to teach past his own expecting, to strive for a new standard. I really appreciate his personable relationship with all his students. Congrats Mr. Crouch!!!
